Multicultural Festival

For this task, I wanted to include a globe, international flags, and individuals holding hands. I realize it said not use a copyrighted image found from the internet but alas,  the three objects (globe, flags, and people) are found from the internet. HOWEVER, I did edit and filter each image to make it my own. I brightened the flags and cropped them smaller. I flipped the people holding hands, brightened them, and filtered them with Crosshatch. Lastly, I removed the background and water from the globe and edited the remains by removing some colour with Saturation and applying the Plastic filter. The words Multicultural Festival were added and bold filter was applied. I also added a blue circular glow behind the world to add a 'boom' factor and to make our multicultured world stand out.
I could have spent more time editing this image and maybe making it more of my own by drawing the people or sketching the globe. Overall, I am pleased with my creation and hope you are as well.

Poetry Cover

For my poetry cover, I decided I wanted to make it fun, wild, and free, alot like my imagination, because that's what poetry consists of; your thoughts and expressions! I took a bright picture from the internet, cropped it smaller, and filtered it to make the colours more bold. I placed the words 'expressions', 'thoughts', and 'poetry' downward to be different and to catch the readers eye. The butterflies also symbolize freedom because poetry is freedom of speech.
I am happy with the outcome but could've spent more time on the colours in the title. Enjoy!

Restoration

I am very pleased with the outcome of these restored images. The top three photographs were originally black and white, and I simply coloured on top. I painted the images by adding a new layer for each component (ex. the clothes in one layer, the hair in another, ect.) and changed the opacity of the colours to what fit best on the specific compent.
The last image I not only coloured, but also restored. For the rips and colour stains, I cloned stamped some familiar fabric onto the flaw to make that specific area blend together.
I believe that I could've spend more time maknig sure the overlapping colour layers blend and don't look pasted on top of the black and white image and spent more time using different colours for skin tones, clothing, and backdrops.
Overall, as already mentioned, I am proud with my work and would consider perusing photo restoration as a career.

This is my first creation. I aimed to create artwork out of the ordinary. I wanted the viewer to feel as though they're being pulled into some sort of time lapse.
I began with a bright background and dark circles and decided it wasn't enough. So I found myself looking through the Filter Gallery and ended up using the Glowing Edges effect. This completely switched up my original colours but I came to accept my new art.

For this image, my original thought was to create something with alternate, contrasting colours. So I began with a white background and one simple, black star. I then layered the star three times, making each layer smaller than the previous, alternating back and forth from white to black. I then created the same image again only completely opposite (so instead of a white background, I started with a black). From there I used the Plastic Wrap effect found in the Filter Gallery. This added a very funky effect and I am very pleased with my overall image!

For the approaching season, I thought creating an image with snowflakes was appropriate. I began with a dark background and then layered three different colourd snowflakes. At this point the image was too plain for my likings so I decided to add an affect from the Filter Gallery.

This image symbolizes that during the beginning, things may not be so clear. But once you take the time to focus, things seem to clarify on their own which gives the viewer an easier understanding of the overall concept.

This image I began with the Butterfly paintbrush tool. I filled the entire background with butterflies before I filtered the image to be black and white (Enhance > Convert to Black and White...). I was planning to use a filter on the butterflies but realized I needed to dry something new. From that point i placed a single, bright pink butterfly in the corner.

This image symbolizes the quote "Dare To Be Different". To the 'different', the standards of the others doesn't seem to matter. Everyone must have a mind of their own and must not depend on others opinions.

For this image, I began with a dark background. I then used the bullseye-like paintbrush tool in different sizes and places to create a scattered effect. Before adding the effect, these circles were just one shade of lavender. I found the effect named Ink Outlines in the Filter Gallery and instantly loved the outcome.

I believe that this image symbolized the multiple bombs exploding during war. The soldiers who fought for our country couldn't tell when and where these explosions will take place.

I am pleased with my overall image but could have experimented more with other colours.
