For my poetry cover, I decided I wanted to make it fun, wild, and free, alot like my imagination, because that's what poetry consists of; your thoughts and expressions! I took a bright picture from the internet, cropped it smaller, and filtered it to make the colours more bold. I placed the words 'expressions', 'thoughts', and 'poetry' downward to be different and to catch the readers eye. The butterflies also symbolize freedom because poetry is freedom of speech.
I am happy with the outcome but could've spent more time on the colours in the title. Enjoy!
Erin, I need to understand how much you altered the image you took from the internet. It is very high energy and attractive, I just hope you made it your own. Can you show me the PSD file please?
ReplyDeleteThe lettering needs to be in from the left edge because the Cerlox binding will bite into it.
If you can whip off this level of work with little effort, image what you could do if you really worked at it!!!!
