This is my face overlay creation. As you can see, I have leopard print skin and unrealistic rainbow eyes! To make my skin seem as though I have a feline coat, I simply pasted the leopard pattern on top of my face and changed the opacity so the layer underneath (my face) was visible. I then erased all the surface of the leopard layer, not including the pattern that lay over my skin. I used the Liquefy tool to add dimension on my nose and chin.Ta-da! I instantly have the coat of a jungle animal. For my eyes, I simply created a rainbow circle with the Gradient tool and placed it over my eye colour. I changed the opacity so my eye colour wasn't too unbelievably shocking and unrealistic, and erased the access colour.
I am fairly pleased with my face overlay creation, however; I think I needed a lot more time to work on it. Due to that fact, there is a tacky and cheesy factor to my image.
Erin, taking a photo with dramatic lighting was a part of this assignment. Did you read the rubric? Yes you've done an excellent job putting the leopard pattern over your skin, the distortion on the bridge of your nose is particularly good. However, there addition of a face overlay seems to have no meaning. If you had a snarling facial expression it would be much more powerful. Or perhaps if you had done something with the background or clothing. I think this is a whipped off task because you have excellent technical skills, and you were behind schedule due to absences. It does not reflect your creative ability and in that regard it is a bit disappointing.
