This is my submission for the Advent "Keeping Christ in Christmas" Poster. I took this photograph of the statue of Mary & bady Jesus in my school chapel. I wanted to capture an image which represented Jesus as a baby, for Christmas is celebrated due to Jesus' birth.
While editing I cropped out the background behind the statue so nothing else would overpower the focal point (the statue). I added a white glow in the top right hand corner to represent that where there is light, the Lord is present. The quote used is from Luke 2: 9-12, which states the Angel Gabriel explaining to all that a savior will be born.
Erin your technical skills and layout are very good, but there are a couple of issues I'd like you to think about.

2. Do you think black and white is the most effective choice?
I'd be interested in seeing this in colour, even if it is just monochromatic.
